A recent research is suggesting that a person must drink 16
ounces of water around half an hour before taking the meal as it can be helpful
in weight loss. Still, researcher in University of Birmingham considers this
research to be implemented in the large number of persons to increase its
authenticity. Therefore, Researchers contacted few doctors who were treating
the obese patients and they recruited eighty four obese patients. All those 84
obese patients were received a letter of weight management consultancy.
Once, they all joined this program conducted by the
researchers in University of Birmingham. They divided the all obese people into
two groups. In the first group, these obese volunteers were asked to drink the
16 ounce water thirty minutes before the meal. Whereas, the second group where
participants were asked to imagine that they are not feeling hungry and rather
full before the meal time.
This was a twelve weeks long program or exercise in which
both group was contacted again by the end of fourth month. The research
revealed the findings that the first group who was asked to drink 16 ounce
water before going to be having the meal, has lost 2.87 on average weight more
than the second group who only had to image that they are full before meal
timings. Furthermore, the data also revealed about on average each member of
the first group lost 9.48 pounds during the twelve weeks which shows the
effectiveness of taking it before meal in weight loss. It is one of the
simplest method to weight loss in which a person is only supposed to drink the
specific amount of water 30 minutes before taking the breakfast, lunch and
dinner every time. This is also possible for the people who are not good at
controlling their temptation to food and eating a lot, but you have to stick
with the daily routine of it.
The question raises in the mind how much it reduces the
weight, it actually burns down your calories and increases the energy.

Drinking it before the appetite can help you in weight loss around 2 kg within
four months. In the studies conducted on the obese people, group who used to be
drinking water before the meals lost 44% more weight as compared to other group
who were on the diet and not adopted this practice drinking water before meal.
Moreover, people often drink the high sugar beverages with the food and
switched this habit to drinking water can simply help you in weight loss as
water has no sugar into it.
